We know that education will make a huge difference for the future for the close to 200 South Sudanese children we support at Hope for Children Orphanage. Education gives the the best opportunity to have a better life for themselves and others. We can make education possible now as a result of resettling the children in a safer and more secure environment in Gambela, which is located on the border between South Sudan and Ethiopia. The government of Ethiopia is quite willing to help the children go to post-secondary education if we obtain and maintain accreditation for the education we provide. Accreditation from the Government of Ethiopia is key to increase the potential for higher education for the children.
There are certain rules we must follow for accreditation:
Our Education Project focuses on filling some of the gaps in these requirements for accreditation. Namely, we have a partial school structure in place which requires funds in order to be completed. We have purchased some basic school supplies, but more are needed. Basic, inexpensive uniforms also need to be purchased. Your donations for the Education Project will make a huge difference.

- A dedicated separate school structure must exist
- Students must have uniforms
- The necessary school supplies must be in place for the children
- Ongoing contact between the Government of Ethiopia with the Board of the orphanage
